Putting together a wedding program
A wedding program is primarily a practical guide to hand out to your guests - either on or before the day of the wedding - but it can also be a nice keepsake for yourself, your family and your friends.
So what should you put in a wedding program? It should contain information about:
The date of the wedding
The location of the ceremony
The members of the bridal party
The order of the service
Readings and/or Poems used during the service
Details of the reception venue
There is of cause other things that you could include - like for example a word of thanks to people who have been instrumental in making your wedding day run smoothly - people that you would not normally thank during the reception.
These could include - but are not limited to:
Your florists
Your wedding cake supplier
Your photographer
Your wedding cars company
If you chose to give credits to these people in your wedding program - remember that it is an added value to their business - hence you may be able to get a rebate on their services (hint-hint).
As you can see - putting together a wedding program is an integral part of planning your wedding. This blog holds information on valuable aids in doing this - to save you the stress - and have the fun of making your wedding day truly special.
